  • workshop - 26-30 september 2010 - arkadi zaides and bikurei haitim center are inviting professional dancers, creators, and performers to an improvisation workshop. the workshop will focus on the body as a source of authentic and original movement material. during the workshop the participants will be triggered by various exercises, intended to get rid of old habits, and to assist in discovering a simple and clear form, in order to create a new rich and personal movement language. the workshop is intended for those who have experience in the field - please send your cv. ran slavin (lap top/guitar), will accompany the sessions with experimental live music. for details please contact bikurei haitim center tel: 03-6919510 email: office@tlvitim.co.il
  • we are happy to announce that solo colores has been awarded with the prestigious kurt jooss prize 2010. the kurt jooss prize was established in 2001 on the occasion of the 100th birthday of kurt jooss, the creator of the anti-war dance drama, 'the green table', co-founder of the folkwang academy and founder of the folkwang dance studio. carrying an endowment of 6.000 euro, the prize is announced internationally every three years and awarded by the anna markard and hermann markard foundation amsterdam together with the city of essen. the kurt jooss prize 2010 is dedicated to the memory of pina bausch who was a member of the first jury in 2001. this year 120 choreographers from 21 nations have submitted entries.
  • we are happy to announce that for a second consecutive year, for his work in 2009, arkadi zaides has received the prestigious israeli ministry of culture and sport award for young up-and-coming choreographer.
